Sometimes I get bored and gather news from people, groups and organizations to share with you all. You can check out The Ponder News by clicking HERE

Hello, I'm Shonda Ponder. I am a self-employed courier and taxi driver.

I am a Christian and a Conservative American and native Texan.

My priority is Jesus. My goals are to win souls, to live abundantly and to pay my bills on time, in that order.

I look forward to communicating with you all!

Victory In Jesus

I went to the car repair shop and sat for nearly 4 hours while they took my car apart to find the leak in my A/C condensor. They found it, finally. But, then they informed me that they could fix it, but that they couldn't charge the A/C because their Freon pump was down. So, they told me they would put the car back together and then let me go and to call them next week and, since they now know exactly what the problem is, they can fix it then, if their freon pump is working.

Then, I went to work. I was surprised that I was able to pick up so many Uber trips that late in the day when their were so many drivers.

Texarkana must be waking up to Uber and Lyft.

When it quietened down, I turned on the ASAP app and immediately got some deliveries. I made about $20, then shut it all off for the night.

I woke up too early this morning. I was tired.

But, I feel victorious. I went to Burger King on 8th street and walked in. I was going to spend my cash tips on a Texas Double Whopper with Cheese. I stood there for a long time waiting. The lady in the drive through was talking to customers and bagging burgers. I finally said, "Is anyone working the front counter?" She got snooty with me and said, "Me and one other person are the only ones working tonight, so no. There is not. We're busy."

I said, "I'm sorry."

I waited another moment. Someone else drove to the drive thru and she asked if she could help them.

I said, "I was here before they came. I'll leave, then."

I went to the other Burger King on State Line and was immediately greeted and served. I told the manager what had happened. I told her, "The least she could have done was said, 'Hello, I'm sorry we are short-handed and really busy. I'll be with you as soon as I can'. I don't tolerate bad customer service with my money."

The manager agreed. Then said, "In her defense, though, she was short handed."

I told her I worked fast food nearly all my life. I would have been fired for the customer service she gave me. There is no excuse not to greet a customer.

I told her I was also a delivery driver, and as a delivery driver, there are certain places I refuse to deliver from for that same reason.

She agreed. And, I enjoyed my Whopper.

It is my opinion that until we, as paying customers, stop tolerating bad customer service in the name of convenience, and just getting through the day, it is only going to get worse. Well, this customer has had enough and refuses to tolerate it anymore.

For some reason, it was especially slow last night until early this morning. I did manage to make a $100 deposit, though. Not NEAR what I need for rent. I now have $250 of the $690 I need. I don't see
