Tell Somebody

I got out of bed at 11 AM this morning. I was awakened before that by lender phone calls and work being done next door. The joys of living in an apartment complex.

It's okay. Maybe I'll go to bed earlier tonight.

I am fixing some Hamburger Mac & Cheese for breakfast, with the last of my hamburger meat. It's about time for me to go get groceries again, but I can't afford it right now until my rent is paid.

I haven't received any cash tips this week yet. I'll just eat a cheap lunch out when I need to until I do, and can find time to go to the store.

Once I get caught up, I plan to go to the food line-ups and get more food. I'll have the time at that point. But, right now, time is money.

Yesterday, I ate KFC's chicken finger basket, which they forgot to give me eating utensils with to eat my mac and cheese with. I always keep a box of plastic spoons in my car for that purpose, in my plastic tote that sits in my front seat to ward off potential customers that try to sit in the front with me.

It is unsafe to allow customers to sit in the front seat, unless there are too many for them all to sit in the back seat. Then, I'll move the stuff to the trunk, temporarily. In the meanwhile, I tell customers that it is all delivery supplies, and that I multi-app to make a living.

They understand.

Yesterday, I worked Spark until dark, then I turned on the Uber app. I had a really good day, with the security that most of what I earned will be saved until Tuesday payday. The rest, I put in my "God Account", or I kept on the app to accumulate earnings for later cashing out.

I did a couple of GrubHubs and Uber for the rest of the night after turning off the Spark app, until around 11 PM, when I finally came home.

It was a hot day, so I was tired when I got home, but I stayed up watching Grey's Anatomy until I finished all the episodes available.

It is supposed to rain today. It may or may not, but I plan to do it again the same way as long as the weather permits. If it starts to rain, I'll only work the Uber and Lyft apps.

Last night, I was scrolling through FaceBook, and I came across a comment that said we should keep our Christianity to ourselves. I couldn't help but comment, and it was as if Jesus took over as I typed.

This is what I said:

Do you keep it to yourself when you have won a prize of any kind? And, when you tell the world about the prize, do they hate you for it? Because let me tell you, I have won the ultimate prize with Jesus Christ. And, all of the persecution that comes with it is a badge of honor for those of us who have.

We cannot keep the light that we have found hidden. You don't have to get saved. We aren't forcing you to. We don't want you to do anything YOU DON'T WANT TO DO. But we would not be true Christians if we did not tell you that we got what we wanted.

No amount of your hate will ever take the joy away from us that we have a future. And it is a future that we wish you would choose to have.

We have peace. We have love. No matter how many lies and insults you or anyone else throw at us, because we know what is going to happen in the end. The getting there is and always has been a rocky road with many slips and falls along the way, but we have a Saviour that will pick us up, dust us off, hug us and set us back on the path He has laid out for us.

Our only regret is that some of you will never have that. The only thing we can do is tell you what you are missing out on.

Just like you would do if you knew there was a party going on and everyone was invited. Wouldn't you invite everyone you knew? Who has the right to tell you to keep it to yourself when the party isn't for just one person to attend?

So, no. We will NOT keep it to ourselves. You don't have to listen. You can walk away. Or, you can do us a favor and kill us so we can finally go home to be with the one who has His arms open wide to receive us, and YOU, if you let Him. Or, you can join us.

Our very purpose on this earth is to tell others what we have found in Jesus. As long as we dare to call ourselves a Christian, that will never stop. And, if you stop ONE of us, ten more of us will take our place. That is God's promise.

Luke 19:40

“And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out.”

Lord, God of the Universe and Beyond,

Thank You for such a great day yesterday. I pray that You bless today even more, or at least just as well.

Please help me to be better today than I was yesterday. Thank You for the opportunity to witness from any platform that You place me in front of. I pray that You keep Your promise that no word that proceeds from Your lips will return void.

Thank You for Your promises toward me and all of those who believe and accept the Salvation offered through Your son, Jesus Christ. Give me the words to say what needs to be said and the boldness to say it effectively when the opportunity arises.

Be with my children and my lists.

In Jesus's Holy Name I pray, AMEN!
