Same Power
I woke up late this morning, because I was up cleaning last night and didn't get to bed until 3:30 AM.
I stayed in bed this morning waiting on the bug people to come, because the note on my door said I had to allow the bug people to come in, and I have dogs. Finally, at 11:30, I got up and called the apartment manager and told her I have to work, and would it be okay for me to lock my dogs in the bathroom? She said I didn't have to be there for them to get access. She said she would let them know the bathroom was occupied by the dogs.
So, now I am fixing sausage and baked beans for breakfast, on toast with instant mashed potato.
Today is the start of a new work week.
I will be working way later tonight, due to not having to be here to clean tonight, and the fact that I woke up late. I'll probably be doing some door dash tonight before I come home.
I will be working until at lest midnight tonight.
The Spark App has increased its hours to 11 PM, also. So, I will be able to do deliveries later if I need to for Spark.
Okay, yesterday, I got two offers for delivery from ASAP. One was to pick up at Whataburger. I declined it. Even though it was going to pay me $8 for the delivery. I will not go to Whataburger because they have bad customer service and I don't like how they give me the orders - half prepared, not complete. And rude staff.
The second one was to Joe's Pizza. Always a very long wait with no warning and rude staff. I won't go there either. And that one was offering to pay me $14 for the delivery. I suspect the high pay was due to the fact that they can't find anyone else willing to take it and are offering more hoping someone will bite.
Not me.
I don't care how much you offer. It isn't worth the bad service.
I turned down more offers than I accepted from Spark today because they kept offering me good paying deliveries, but I had to go shop for them. And, I didn't sign up to shop. I signed up to deliver. It just isn't worth $15 to shop for 40 items. It takes too much time and half the time you have to search for something that isn't available where they said it would be. Not worth it. Less than 10 items with over $20 pay, maybe. But not 30 for $15.
I also turned one down that had two different deliveries in the batch. The whole thing was going to pay me a total of $8.50. One of them had over 70 items to deliver, and the other had over 50.
Nope. Not worth $4.50 each with no tip included. And no, I won't "hope" for a cash tip. In my experience, 95% of the time, there is no one home when the delivery is made, and when they are, they don't give out tips OR help you unload. Not worth $4.50. No.
I turned down at least 3 offers that delivered groceries to apartments. They were most likely upstairs, since the number was an even number, and all the deliveries had about 30 to 50 items to deliver. NOPE. I am not killing myself for more than 10 items for just $10.
I did take several big loads that paid well. But I didn't have to deliver upstairs, and I made more than minimum wage doing it. Even if I had to walk a ways to get to the door, I had my wagon to help me with the heavy stuff and the big loads.
Hint: If you live upstairs, do not order a truckload of groceries all at once without giving a good tip. And, do not choose shop and deliver and expect all the items you ordered to be delivered if it is more than 10 items. And please remember your driver. Our car upkeep is worth more than minimum wage. We have bills too.
I totally understand not being able to afford a tip, and not having transportation. I do not hesitate to take small orders, no matter the pay, as long as I can pay my bills with what I make in a day.
And, Spark has a habit of bouncing the offer around after it has been rejected. More often than not, I will get the same offer again and if I reject it again, my acceptance rate goes down and priority on higher paying offers is lessened for me when it does. So, rather than rejecting an offer more than twice, I will turn the app off for 30 minutes and work on another app until time has passed enough for that offer to disappear.
My check this week is $580.
I have over $50 worth of unconfirmed tips that I will see on my next paycheck.
And all of that money is gone already to bills. I have already sold all of my E-trade stock, except what I need to keep the account open. And, all of the money on the other apps is for gas and urgent necessities.
Lord, Thank You for the new day, and the new week. Each day brings new hope.
I need Your help, Lord, financially. I can't do this alone. I have to pay my car rental when my car gets fixed. I need You to step in, or I need You to open doors. You are the God of Provision. I know You will sustain me.
I can't do anything without You.
Be with my children and my lists. Keep my ever-growing list short. I want to hear answered prayers from them. Bless them, Lord.
Help me to forgive others, and give to those who have harmed me a double portion of all they have given me, and to those who have helped me, bless them seven times over!
Make my day profitable for You and for me, use me where I am. Where ever I find myself is where I know You want me to be for the purpose of glorifying You. Help me to get where You want me.
Keep me safe, and the car I am driving running good, and be with the hands of the mechanics who work on my car, and bring my car back to me completely fixed.
In Jesus's Holy Name I pray, Amen!
John 19:11
“Jesus answered, Thou couldest have no power at all against me, except it were given thee from above: therefore he that delivered me unto thee hath the greater sin.”
