Hello, I'm Shonda Ponder. I am a self-employed courier and taxi driver.

I am a Christian and a Conservative American and native Texan.

My priority is Jesus. My goals are to win souls, to live abundantly and to pay my bills on time, in that order.

I look forward to communicating with you all!

Resting Place

Today is the Sabbath.

Today, I have to work.

Let me rephrase that: I have to make some money to pay my car rental with. But, I am not going to push myself because it is the Sabbath. I may not make what I normally make because of it, but it will be something.

I slept late. On purpose.

I am going to spend some of the money I have made toward my gas, since I have enough for another tank - plus some, and I am going to eat at the buffet today. I am going to enjoy and celebrate God's Sabbath one way or another.

I was led to Deuteronomy, Chapter 14 this morning. God was telling them about the tithes of increase for the year. Profits.

He said when they tithe their profits, then they should go to the land He has named for Himself and tithe there, and feast there. But, if the land is too far away, then they should bind up all that they have saved for the tithe at the end of the year and go to the place where He chooses for them to be, and spend the money on whatever they want, whatever they lust for, no matter what it is, and eat and drink and be merry in celebration, and while they are doing it, to also give to those in need and not forget them. And, after 3 years of tithing like that, in the third year, they are to give all their tithes to the fatherless, the widow, the strangers within their gates, and those in need.

It sounds a lot like Christmas for us here.

But, today, it is the Sabbath. I have to survive. But, I will live abundantly as I do so. Dear Lord, today is YOUR day. Today, I will celebrate YOU. All day. No matter what I do, You will be at the forefront - as You are every day, but today I will celebrate You.

I ask that You also remember me in it. I ask that You provide me the way in which You wish to be celebrated every day. I Praise You for the ability You have given me to celebrate.

Be with my children and my lists.

Lord, You said to pray for those who hurt me, despise me, persecute me and talk badly of me. You said to pray blessings on my enemy, and that it would be as fires of coal raining down upon their heads. So, I pray that You give all of them twice the blessing they have given me. And, I pray You have mercy on them, as You have had mercy on me.

And I pray that You reward those who have helped me seven times over.

Your Grace is sufficient.

In Jesus's Holy Name, I pray, Amen!
