No Stress Today

Good Friday Morning, World!

Yesterday, I got an oil change. While I was there, they said my third brake lights were out and I would need to replace the LED panel to get it to work. I asked and was told that no, it would not keep me from getting a clean inspection, and it was nothing that would cause me to get a ticket. So, since they couldn't fix it, I decided not to worry about it right now; but, I will be getting that fixed in the near future.

Also, I went and got a new headset. It did not fix the problem, so I called the help desk for the company I work for online and was told the only thing left - since I did all the trouble shooting - was a slow internet. So, I scheduled an appointment to get my internet upgraded for free on the 16th.

I called my tax lady and gave her the last of the information she was requesting for her to do my taxes. Now, I just wait.

My Elastic account is fixed, so I used some of the credit to pay all my big bills for the month so I could work stress free for the rest of the month.

Then, I took the rest of the day off to relax and wash my clothes. I was down to one set of clothes, and had not had a chance to wash them last Saturday, because I served the Lord on that day.

The web site I use to watch my tv programs on is being moved to a new location, so I was unable to watch "The Walking Dead" after watching all of the Stargate SG-1 series again. So, I finally went to bed about 8:30 PM.

Today I have nothing planned but to go to work so I can pay the rest of this month's bills and start on next month's.

I am praying for a sizeable refund on my taxes. I did good to keep up with all of my deductions and gave the tax lady plenty to work with. I have a good feeling about it. And, I will be investing all of that money if/when I get it.

It's not the headache I thought it was going to be. Throughout the year, I set aside all of my paperwork as I went along in order to have it ready for tax season. I've also paid in at least $600 on top of that, that I should get back as well.

People tried to talk me out of working for myself, citing concerns about paying more in taxes. It's not rocket science. And, you have to pay that money anyway. The difference is, your employer does it for you. That's why it is important to keep up with deductions when you are self-employed. It will MORE than offset your expenses if done right.

But, I digress. Most people are motivated by fear away from God's intentions for your life.

One of the best things about what I am doing today is that when God moves in my life, I feel it and see it more keenly. Every move I make has to be measured according to "What would Jesus do" and "Is what I am going to do going to be pleasing to God?" Sometimes I'm off the mark, but God directs me back.

Most of the time, it's about TRUSTING Him to do what He says He will do. Like, for instance, helping Kenny in his situation. I could have just given it all out of the God account, but then that would have neglected to allow others to share in the blessing of service to Jesus. It would have also made things a lot harder for me in my recent situation, not to mention preventing me from helping someone else if the need arose. If there is one thing I have learned, it is not to put all your eggs in one basket. And, sometimes, teaching patience is something you have to SHOW someone in order for them to "get it".

As it stands, should things work out the way I see it working out (hopefully), my "God Account" is going to be tripled. God IS faithful!

He will not just GIVE you what you ask for. That is not His way in most situations; however, He WILL give you opportunities to WORK for it so that you APPRECIATE what He gives you that much more!

Don't mix that up with working for salvation. Your works can't save you. Salvation is free; but, if you are saved, you should want all your works to be for HIM.

And you CAN'T outgive GOD!

Have a blessed day!
