My Tribute

I was wide awake when I went to bed, finally, this morning at 6 AM. I couldn't sleep.

Then, when I went to sleep, I slept good, until the dogs started barking every time it thundered.

I didn't get up until 1:30 this afternoon.

I didn't make goal last night, but I still made a whole lot more than I would have made if I didn't have Uber and Lyft.

And, I am still in range to be able to pay all my bills ontime - except my rent.

I'm working on that.

I have all the money available to pay everything but my car payment on the 7th. I need about $321 to cover that right now. I think, God willing, I can do it, even if it is by the skin of my teeth.

When I finally get rent paid, I'm going to celebrate by going to that new Japanese Steakhouse that opened where Panda's Open Buffet on New Boston Road used to be. It is somewhere I haven't been before.

Until then, I'm going to eat what is at home. Or, if I over-shoot my goal, or get cash tips, I'll eat out at cheaper places.

I spent all my cash tips yesterday.

During my down times, I went to Salvation Army Thrift Store and Goodwill thrift store to look for shirts for Fred. Salvation Army thrift store did not have anything in his size, or mine.

I found two shirts at Goodwill for five bucks each.

I used my cash tips so it wouldn't come out of my earnings. Then I stopped at Burger King to get a Whopper Junior with cheese, against my better judgment since I have food. I paid for that also with my cash tips.

While I waited there a little boy had his own money and wanted to buy a Whopper with cheese. He was rang up for a kid's hamburger with cheese. When the mistake was figured out, the cashier was going to refund the boy his money and remake the ticket. I immediately stepped up and said "Let me buy the burger, and you give me the boy's kid burger, and you give him the Whopper with cheese that I'm going to buy."

So he did that. The little boy thanked me. The cashier didn't have to do a refund, and I got an extra burger with cheese.

I needed to find time to go and give the shirts and the extra burger to Fred on the other side of town.

God said, "Let me help you out!" I immediately got a ping for a ride from state line all the way to right across the street from where Fred lived.

I made the drop and delivered his shirts and the burger to him.

I am now a Platinum driver again, working on my Diamond status. I need 399 more points.

Just before I bought this car I was a Diamond driver; but, because I could not do Uber or Lyft for so long, Uber drop me back down to Gold. So now I have to work my way up again.

The higher my rating, the better trips I am offered, better priority on driver support, and better priority on trips.

Also, I understand that once I reach Diamond status, there is a cash reward. I can't wait to see what that is!

Once, last night, when it was raining, I was sent to 7th Street to pick up someone. I couldn't find the address. Uber just gave me a roundabout figure of where I was supposed to be.

It was raining and it was hard to see.

I asked the passenger where I was supposed to pick her up at. She said she was halfway down the road. That didn't answer my question. So I turned down the road that Uber had sent me to and I asked her again what is your exact address?

She said I had gone too far. She gave me her exact address, but whenever I got to the place where Google sent me, there was nothing there. I asked her again where are you? She said she was standing out in the middle of the road.

I finally canceled the ride saying I couldn't find the Rider. Passengers need to know exactly where they are so they can guide me to where they are or I am not going to waste my gas, in the rain - not to mention, I needed badly to pee!

It is raining again today, so I intend to prioritize Uber and Lyft today as well.

And, I am working my hours around until I can wake up during the early morning hours again - praying nothing goes wrong with my car after hours!

Lord, thank You for yesterday. You give so intently. You help me with my work and my giving. And, You are an On-Time God! THE God of everything under the sun and beyond!

Help me to work to please You in every way.

Help me to have the mercy and grace that You have given me towards others.

Keep me safe and pave the way before me.

Keep my enemies from harming me in any way.

Bless those who have helped me, are helping me, and have grace and mercy on those who won't and haven't when it was needed.

Be with my children and my lists.

Help me have the time and mind power to complete my taxes for the year, so the United States Government can get it's share - even as unrighteous as some of it seems to be. Jesus told me to "render unto Caesar that which is Caesar's". Help me to do that. I am finding it hard to find the time to spare to do that.
