God Help Me, again
I woke up at 11:30 AM this morning. I fixed what was left of my chicken mac & cheese for breakfast.
Yesterday was a really slow Saturday, but I did better than I did on Friday.
Today, I plan to focus more on the other apps, only working Uber between runs and after 8 PM.
I am still tired, and really could use a day off work, but right now, I just can't afford it. And, it doesn't help when I can't even make my low goal on the weekends. I really could use your prayers.
I need to make $220 more to pay May's rent. Then I can start on next month's rent. I would like to have that by Tuesday, after which I owe $421 on my car payment.
I am so tired. But, one of the best managers I ever worked under told me once, "If you don't focus on the work at hand, and focus more on what's ahead, it isn't so heavy." This is why I always try to think 3 or 4 steps ahead of everything.
And, I thank God for the people who have crossed my path who are no longer with me today, as well as those that are. I look back and sometimes wonder where I would be today had they not been there when they were.
Lord, Thank You for giving me another day to make it right.
You are the Great provider, and I am but a sparrow in Your eyes. Like the Sparrow, I know that You will give me what I need to survive another day to do Your Will. Help me do it well!
Lord, I am so tired right now. This burden is so heavy. But, I am looking forward to the tasks ahead of me, and trying not to focus on right now - keeping my eye on the prize. Without You, I can do nothing. I need Your strength.
Be with my children and my lists. Make me better today than I was yesterday. Lead me, guide me, show me the way. Keep me safe and make my tools last. Give me more opportunity to serve You.
In Jesus's Holy Name, I pray, Amen!
2 Corinthians Chapter 9
9 (As it is written, He hath dispersed abroad; he hath given to the poor: his righteousness remaineth for ever.
10 Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;)
