Hello, I'm Shonda Ponder. I am a self-employed courier and taxi driver.

I am a Christian and a Conservative American and native Texan.

My priority is Jesus. My goals are to win souls, to live abundantly and to pay my bills on time, in that order.

I look forward to communicating with you all!

End of the Work Day

For some reason, it was especially slow last night until early this morning. I did manage to make a $100 deposit, though. Not NEAR what I need for rent. I now have $250 of the $690 I need. I don't see it happening. Unless something big happens and I get a REALLY busy night with a lot of long distance runs.

Long shot. Not banking on that.

I could go and borrow another $300...but I don't want to add to my debt.

I'm just going to ride this out. It's all I can do. It's not like I'm not trying. I stayed out nearly 10 hours tonight twiddling my thumbs for the most part, waiting for a ping.

I need to get my day shift back on track. I can't until after rent and car payment is made. Because I will NOT drive while I am sleepy and tired. That's too dangerous, both for me and for other drivers on the road. Not to mention, bad for my health.

Once I get those two bills paid, I'll take a day and stay up as late as I can to start waking up closer to daylight.

Day shift gives me more of an opportunity to travel out of town and make the extra bucks. I love a good Dallas or Shreveport run. It pays well.

Plus, I can do deliveries during the day when it's slow, or when there are too many drivers out.
