Peace Be Still
On January 16, Monday, I woke up at 10:30 AM. It was Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day so the banks were closed. Thank God!
I started the day out with a prayer:
Dear Lord,
Thank You for being You. You are Almighty, All Knowing, All Graceful. You are my Rescue and Great Restoration. You fix broken lives and hearts. You give back what has been taken by the enemy plus bounty.
Lord, this nation needs Your healing power. This nation needs Your forgiveness and Your restoration.
And, Lord, I need it. I need a break-through in my life right now. I need You to give me back all that I have lost in the past year. I am on the verge of ruin, but I know that You are the God of perfect timing, so I am struggling to be patient.
Help me with my anger at the injustice of it all, because I am grateful that I still have hope for the future. I am grateful that I can still get out of bed each day and go to work doing what YOU have given me to do. I am grateful that I can still eat a bologna or sausage sandwich for breakfast and dinner. I am grateful that my health is good. I am grateful for Your anointing and the purpose You have for my life, and the story You have given me to tell - that if I hadn't had struggles, I wouldn't have joy. And I am grateful, that, through Jesus, this world is not my home.
Lead my children to your saving grace. I have failed them both, although I tried. But, You are not a God of Failure.
Bless me, that I may bless others in Your name once again, Lord. And bless all those who have blessed me by keeping me afloat during all this.
In Jesus Name, I pray, Amen!
And, then, I turned on Pandora and listened to Praise and Worship songs during the first hour I was at work on my phone with my headset on.
I made over $100, but in mid-day, I had to go to my mechanic to have them look at my car. The plastic cover on the front, below the engine, was hanging down, and I saw a liquid substance puddling on it. Plus, my "Check Engine" light was on again.
I didn't take it to the Dealer, because I was informed last time that I had to come up with $200 for the Warranty deductible before they would fix it for me. They did me a service last time because of the situation with my tags.
So, I took it to my regular mechanics, because I could use my Flex account to pay for it there.
I was told that it looks as if the A/C Condensor might have been punctured, but they need to check it further, when they have more time. They said as for as the "Check Engine" light, the code is reading what looked to be something to do with the O2 sensor. They popped the cover back in place for me and secured it, and told me to bring the car back on Thursday, because their regular A/C guy wasn't working until then; but, that my car should be safe to drive until then, as long as I don't run the A/C - because we don't want to burn it up and do it further damage.
They didn't charge me for today.
So, I have that on my list of things to do on Thursday.
I went home at the end of the night and fixed a sausage shepherd pie of sorts. I had instant mashed potatoes and sausage and bread, so I figured I'd do that. Starting the day out the way I did, I felt peace, even when I had to take my car in.
