I Paid My Car Payment Today
Car Mart

Date: February 5, 2021

Working in the gig economy, it is hard to buy a car. I went to one place that told me they wouldn't accept what I do for a living as "income". That is when I went across the street from them to Car Mart. Now, Car Mart is reaping the benefits of having sold a car to me. And, one day, I'm going to buy another one from them.

Where there is a will, there is a way. Thank you, Car Mart for working with me!

The Cost of doing Business
Shonda Ponder

Date: February 3, 2021

Today was not a good day.

I woke up early, then remembered that I had to take Gary (one of my housemates) to the store and bank so he could pay his rent to me.

My E-trade money finally settled in my bank account, so I immediately gave an order to pay my rent from my account, because yesterday when the mortgage company tried to deduct it I didn't have enough money in the account to cover it. Later, when it was too late for me to do anything about it, I discovered that the mortgage company made a second attempt, so now my account is minus twice the mortgage payment.

So I had to sell more of my stocks, and I couldn't pay my lot rent today.

I uploaded all of my documents into the UberX app, and the app kept rejecting my insurance because it is set to expire on the 9th.

Tired and Crabby
Shonda Ponder

Date: February 1, 2021

Today I woke up at 6 AM, and rather than turning over and going back to sleep, I decided to get ready and go on to work.

That's the joy of being your own boss. You can go to work when you get ready to.

I took my first delivery at 8 AM this morning. My last one was at roughly 7:30 PM. I made $150 today, and still don't feel like I made what I could have made, had my battery been able to keep up on my phone and I didn't have to stop and get more gas.

I haven't had a real cigarette since Thursday morning, and today I was all up inside myself emotionally. Not me at all. I hate when I get like that. I'd blame it on the lack of cigarettes, except I am still vaping, so I'm still getting the nicotine. I guess I'm just suffering menopausal mood swings now. Which sucks...because that means I'm going to have to stay away from people I care about, rather than risk acting stupid around them.

Anyway, I'm tired. I'm retiring for the night.

Have a blessed night.

When People Won't Listen to You
God Inspires

Date: January 31, 2021

This week, I have been focusing on Exodus Chapters 5-9 in my daily bible readings.

Moses did as he was told, and went back to Egypt to retrieve God's people. The first thing he had to do was convince the Israelites that God had sent him and what God had sent him to do.

The people were ready to have hope for something, ANYTHING, that would take them out of the bondage that they were in.

Sunday Morning Coming Down
Shonda Ponder

Date: January 31, 2021

Today I need to spend time with Jesus, clean my home, wash my clothes, cook some fish and get ready to go to work tomorrow.

Last night I watched Grey's Anatomy to pass the time, since I can't work on the Sabbath, until I couldn't hold my eyes open anymore. I am on Season 5 Episode 5 now. LOL

All of my friends who are investing during these "troubled times" are focusing on silver and gold. Folks, Silver and Gold is not what is going to save you if the SHTF.

As for me, I'm investing in practical things I will need. Camping gear, fishing equipment, hunting equipment, backpacks, MRE's. I do not hoard toilet paper. Toilet paper will run out. Instead, I cut up and put back old clothes for rags. I invest in cleaning supplies, first aid stuff. Canning supplies. Stuff that I will need in hard times.

Be smart, people. Hard times are coming.
