Starting each Day Off Right

Meditating on God's Word

Posted here on January 29, 2020

Every morning when I wake up, the first thing I do is let the dogs outside, then turn on the bath water. I brush my teeth, take my vitamins, get my clothes ready to put on, let the dogs in, turn on the computer and listen to the next chapter of the Bible from where I left off the morning before, as I am bathing and dressing.

Joshua 1:8 says, "This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success."

So, I listen and think about the chapter all day. Sometimes, when I am on some downtime, I go to my audio Bible app on my phone and listen to the same chapter over again. I listen and reflect, research, seek answers to my questions on the internet and elsewhere, and I pray.

Watching Television

About Putlockers

Posted here on January 29, 2020

When I found out that I could watch just about anything I wanted online without having to sign up for an account to do so, or spend money, I decided not to get cable TV in my home anymore, and I started binge-watching a lot of my favorite shows!

In just the last month, I finally decided to check out Grey's Anatomy! (I'm on season 4 now...)

Yes, clicking out of all the ads over and over again and trying 15 times to finally get the video to work is worth it once you get through. It beats paying for internet AND cable, and the show isn't interrupted by commercials.

Since I recently decided to go from smoking to vaping, I decided to compare the risks. I found this article.

One thing is for sure, I am saving a WHOLE lot more money by vaping!

Best thing about vaping is that it doesn't burn up in an ashtray when you are busy. And, it smells a whole lot better!

The Uncomfortable Path to a Miracle
A devotional from Pastor Rick Warren

Date: January 29, 2020

I have been praying for a "miracle" for some time now, and I haven't exactly been forthcoming about what I need a miracle for. I am not going to, because it is personal. But, God knows the desires of my heart, and He knows my needs.

I love this devotional today. It spoke to me in, OH, so many ways!
